Japan Festival Houston 2026 brings the stage to life with a vibrant daytime celebration of U.S.–Japan friendship in honor of America’s 250th birthday. This year’s program highlights the richness and diversity of Japanese performing arts through engaging live performances and cultural exchange.

As part of this milestone year, the festival will feature internationally recognized Japanese artists marking major anniversaries in their careers, adding a special sense of celebration to the stage. Audiences can experience a dynamic range of performances reflecting both traditional and contemporary Japan—from expressive instrumental pieces to high-energy modern sounds.

Throughout the day, the stage becomes a gathering place where music, movement, and storytelling create a shared cultural experience. Each performance highlights the creativity and artistry of Japan’s vibrant cultural landscape while celebrating the enduring friendship between Japan and the United States.

With its lively atmosphere and family-friendly programming, the festival stage offers a memorable way to connect with Japanese culture and with one another.

Japan-America Society of Houston promotes mutual understanding and collaboration between Japan and the United States through educational programs, cultural exchange, and community engagement. JASH fosters meaningful connections that strengthen international friendship and appreciation across cultures.

This is a ticketed event for the covered seating area. Free tickets are available (4 per person over age 16 while they last) from our website one day prior to the performance starting at 10:00 AM through noon the day of the show, or until tickets run out. We always reserve plenty of tickets available for in-person pick up at the box office, which opens an hour before the show starts. As always, open seating on the hill. Our shows go on rain or shine!
