Polynesian Storytelling at Miller Outdoor Theatre!  Embark on an exciting and immersive journey through the vibrant cultures of the Pacific Islands, brought to life through traditional dance, song, and storytelling. In this dynamic performance, students explore the rich heritage of Polynesia, traveling to Hawai‘i, Tahiti, Samoa, and New Zealand (Aotearoa).

Audiences will experience authentic dances and chants that share history, ancestral stories, and cultural values. The rhythms of indigenous instruments – including the pahu drum, nose flute, and ukulele – fill the space, while traditional costumes and adornments showcase deep symbolism and meaning.

Throughout the program, students learn core values such as respect (fa‘aaloalo), community, and a profound connection to the land and ocean.

Young Audiences Passport!

Join Young Audiences for a trip around the world with live artists and performances! Children receive a “passport” at each show, and those who collect stamps from all four performances will receive a special goodie bag at the final performance. Each show is hosted by YAH “travel hosts,” welcoming students and families as they explore a new country, with special giveaways for the first 200 attendees.

Designed for PK-12 audiences, these performances combine educational content with vibrant visual and auditory experiences, inspiring curiosity, cultural appreciation, and respect for global traditions, people, and arts. Interactive elements may include audience participation, language demonstrations, and Q&A sessions to deepen engagement and learning.
