The “47th Annual Festival Chicano” is a reflection of the artistic creativity that has developed in the Chicano cultural experience after centuries of influence from native peoples, Mexico, Europeans, and the U.S.A. Chicano music has been historically shaped by many diverse styles such as Mexican rancheras, corridos, mariachi, orchestra, Tejano, conjunto, big band, rhythm and blues, country, rock and roll, and many others. The festival is a celebration of culture through the musical expression of countless generations of artists.

Latin GRAMMY and Tejano Music Award winner David Lee Garza y Los Musicales is no stranger to the Miller stage.  With over 30 years in the industry, they have generated hit after hit with a earthy roots blend of country, Tex-Mex, and straight up Tejano.  With hits such as string of hits including “Con El Tiempo”, “Hey David Who’s That Gringo”, and “Cuatro Caminos, the band has stayed at the top of mind and Chart topper.  Noting their popularity and longevity among a true Mexican American culture, Los Musicales have lived through the journey like that of many other entertainment giants. Blazing a trail from Hawaii to Florida; the Great Lakes to northern Mexico, David Lee Garza y Los Musicales have reinvented their sound and rejuvenated their spirit in a way only they know how.

The mission of Festival Chicano is to preserve, promote, and protect Chicano culture. It will showcase Chicano music through some of its most accomplished performers.
