Celebrate the rich musical traditions of Latin America and Spain in a high-energy, family-friendly concert for all ages. This engaging program features iconic works such as “La Virgen de la Macarena,” made famous by legendary Mexican trumpeter Rafael Méndez, the smooth bossa nova classic “The Girl from Ipanema” by Brazilian composer Antonio Carlos Jobim, and the fiery pasodoble “Granada.” Audiences will also enjoy beloved songs like “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Encanto.
Between selections, musicians guide listeners through the history, styles, and rhythms behind the music. Children and adults alike will participate in learning the clave rhythm through call-and-response, discovering how brass and percussion bring these vibrant traditions to life. This interactive concert runs just under one hour and invites everyone to clap, move, and celebrate together.
