Come hear Broadway, television, and film legend Rita Moreno in conversation with Ernie Manouse, dubbed Ultimate Interviewer by the Houston Chronicle.
Come honor Cissy Segall Davis’s years of dedication to Miller and her more than 50 year career in the arts and entertainment industry.
And most importantly, come celebrate Miller in its 100th year of offering professional, artistically excellent and culturally diverse entertainment for free to the people of Houston!
Miller Theatre Advisory Board will host Les Grandes Dames: A Centennial Celebration for Miller Outdoor Theatre on Thursday, November 16, at River Oaks Country Club, and we need you to help fill the room with “Miller magic” that will last far beyond the last guest’s departure: your support of Miller’s Centennial Campaign will transform the audience experience at Miller for the thousands of people who come to performances each year.
Our fabulous program for the evening puts the spotlight on Rita Moreno, who has captivated audiences and received honors and recognition for acclaimed performances throughout her more than 80 year career. She is an EGOT – one of only 18 performers who has won all four of the most prestigious awards in show business: two Emmys, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony. (Certain sponsorship levels include an opportunity to attend a small reception with Rita prior to the evening’s program.)
Ernie Manouse, local legend and avid supporter of the arts in Houston, will help Rita tell her story with his customary insight and charm. Their conversation will be the highlight of what is certain to be a delightful evening.
Please choose a level of support here, put together a great group of friends for your table, and join us to celebrate Miller Outdoor Theatre! If you have any questions, please email Emily Gordon at [email protected] or call (203) 583-7598.
