9th Annual
Journey Through China

Join Houston’s Dance of Asian America for an interactive performance of authentic Chinese dance. Audiences will learn about the culture, traditions, and dances of the numerous ethnic groups found throughout China. This interactive performance involves audience members with dance props and dance movements.

Dance of Asian America is a not-for-profit organization promoting and preserving the rich cultural heritage of China through authentic Chinese dance. In doing so, DAA sustains traditions, builds international ties, educates Houstonians in cross-cultural understanding, and fosters new generations of professional artists.

This performance will be on both August 14th and August 15th at 11:00 AM.

DAA reaches over 50,000 people annually through over 50 free city-wide performances, educational programs for youths and community events.

All performances at Miller Outdoor Theatre are free.

Seating for daytime performances is on a “first come, first served” basis for the covered seating area. NO TICKETS ARE NECESSARY. NO RESERVATIONS CAN BE MADE. As always, open seating on the hill. The show goes on rain or shine. More information for school groups can be found here.
