El Grito featuring Los Ligaditos

Celebrate Mexican Independence Day with the stirring Grito ceremony followed by a rousing performance by Los Ligaditos!

The band LOS LIGADITOS is created in 2011 with Alex and José, who met in school, and immediately clicked once realizing they had the same “norteño music” urges. They became best friends and started playing at private parties with only an accordion and “bajo sexto” guitar. Not long after, JJ Tamez and Jerry Ochoa joined the band. Tamez had been playing the drums for 8 years, while Ochoa was a skilled conga player – hence the project LOS LIGADITOS was born.

LOS LIGADITOS recorded their first album in 2016, entitled “Pisando Fuerte”; which was recorded by an independent label owned by Mr Fito Olivares. The entire band collaborated creatively, and in the selection of the 10 songs featured in the album. These songs were a mix of cumbias, rancheras and huapangos – amongst them the singles “Y Andale”, “La Fiera” and “Hoy si te robo” were very well received by the fans.

The boys are all native of Los Ramones, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, which is why they had been brought up with norteño music, little would they know they would one day share stage with consolidated bands the likes of PESADO, LOS INVASORES DE NL, GERARDO ORTIZ, LOS TIGRES DEL NORTE, and INTOCABLE, not only in extended Mexico tours, but also crossing over into the USA in cities like Atlanta, Los Angeles, Nashville and Dallas.

LOS LIGADITOS:
Jerry Ochoa (congas, animator, and musical director)
Jaime Gómez (bass guitar)
Alex Ochoa (backing vocals, bajo sexto guitar)
Eric Gómez (drums)
José Peyrano (accordeon and lead vocals)
