Inner City Nutcracker is a true holiday treat! In this production, children from the community audition and then train to appear alongside elite youth and professional dancers in the full-length production of the Nutcracker ballet. This is a magical event for both the audience and these special children.
CBH continues to exhibit its commitment to audience development and community educational outreach through the Inner City Nutcracker.
ICN involves docents and auditions where hundreds of inner city families are introduced to the world of ballet, and 100 children are selected to participate in the production. The children receive full training for the performances over an eight-week period, including instruction in dance technique and etiquette, costuming and participation in full length, professional level productions.
Seating for daytime performances is on a “first come, first served” basis for the covered seating area. NO TICKETS ARE NECESSARY. NO RESERVATIONS CAN BE MADE. As always, open seating on the hill. The shows goes on rain or shine. More information for school groups can be found here.
