Houston Contemporary Dance Company presents Resilience, celebrating the completion of the company’s sixth season, with a guest performance by our second company, Houston Contemporary 2.
Resilience will feature a world premiere by Houston-based educator and choreographer Travis Prokop, centered around the LGBTQ+ community. This evening will also include other signature repertoire, including Citizen by internationally recognized performer and choreographer Yue Yin, a new work premiering in April by Jacob’s Pillow Choreographic Fellow Natasha Adorlee, and another new work premiering in February by Houston-based choreographer Stacey Allen.
Houston Contemporary 2 will also present works by educators and choreographers Erina Udea and Shelby Nunn.
The Houston Contemporary Dance Company’s mission is to ignite passion for contemporary dance by providing world-class professional repertory concert performances and community engagement activities that are accessible to all regardless of race, culture, sexual orientation, gender, gender variance, or nationality.

This is a ticketed event for the covered seating area. Free tickets are available (4 per person over age 16 while they last) from our website one day prior to the performance starting at 10:00 AM through noon the day of the show, or until tickets run out. We always reserve plenty of tickets available for in-person pick up at the box office, which opens an hour before the show starts. As always, open seating on the hill. Our shows go on rain or shine!
