    • What to expect:
      • Leave the neckties and heels at home – expect world-class entertainment from Houston and around the world without a daunting dress code! Miller is a relaxed atmosphere where everyone is welcome just as you are!
    • How much does it cost:
      • All performances at Miller are FREE! Whether you’re sitting on the Hill or in the seats, it’s free to attend every single performance at Miller. However, donations are always appreciated to help keep the arts accessible to everyone!
    • Parking:
      • There are several parking options throughout Hermann Park to make your visit easy! The closest free lots to Miller are Lots A, C, F, G, and H. Prefer covered parking? Paid garage parking is available at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Accessible parking can be found along Hermann Park Drive for convenient access to the theatre. Check out our full parking map here to plan ahead and find the best spot for your visit.
    • Hill Seating:
      •  The Hill is the perfect spot to make memories, and it’s so easy – no tickets necessary! All you need is a blanket or a lawn chair, a picnic, and you’re good to go! Remember – when you are facing the stage, lawn chairs sit to the left, blankets to the right so that everyone has a clear view! You’re welcome to bring food, drinks, coolers, and even alcohol, just be sure to leave any glass containers at home. Umbrellas are fine to use before the performance, but they can’t be staked into the ground and should be taken down once the show begins. And please remember, for the sake of those around you and the performers on stage, please leave your pets at home.
    • Covered Seating:
      • Seating under the canopy is one of the best ways to enjoy a show at Miller! There are plenty of seats, including accessible options, so everyone can have a great view. Free tickets are available on our website starting at 10:00 AM the day before the performance you want to see. If you need accessible seating, it’s a good idea to call ahead so we can make sure everything is ready for you.  Inside tip – on extra warm days, the large fans under the canopy help keep things a little cooler. For all the details on tickets and seating policies, click here.
      • You don’t have to print out your e-ticket!  You can use your mobile device to show the ticket to the usher.
      • If you can’t get your tickets the day before online, don’t worry! We always reserve plenty of tickets available for in-person pick up at the Box Office which opens and hour before the show starts.
      • PLEASE NOTE – At the scheduled start of show, or at the manager’s discretion, we release all unclaimed seats to the waiting public.  Make sure to be in your seat at least 10 minutes before the show starts.
    • Daytime Performances:
      • Miller offers FREE daytime performances during the week, perfect for young families and school field trips! Fun, educational, and a wonderful way to introduce little ones to the arts, these shows are short – usually an hour or less – and always packed with excitement. Bring a packed lunch and enjoy it on the Hill or in the seats while you watch. Daytime performances don’t require tickets, but we do ask that you fill out our RSVP form here before you come – so we know to expect you!
    • What to bring:
      • Bring your whole family and all of your friends – Miller is where memories are made!
      • A blanket, lawn chair, or seat cushion, depending on where you’d like to sit. (When facing the stage, lawn chairs go on the left, blankets on the right, and covered seating is assigned.)
      • An umbrella for shade if you’re arriving early – just make sure it isn’t staked into the ground and is taken down before the show begins. (Tents aren’t permitted on the Hill.)
      • Sunscreen, sunglasses, or a hat to stay comfortable while you soak up the sunshine.
      • Bug spray for those evenings when the mosquitoes decide to join the show.
      • A reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.
      • A small flashlight or your phone light to help you find your way after the performance.
      • Your tickets (for covered seating), saved on your phone or printed and ready to go.
      • Trash bags to help keep the Hill and Hermann Park clean!
  • Snacks & Drinks:
    • Food and drinks are always a good idea at Miller! While we have a fantastic concession stand, you’re also welcome to bring your own picnic from home or your favorite restaurant. Alcohol is allowed, but remember – no glass containers, open flames, or grills anywhere on the Hill.
    • Coolers are welcome both on the Hill and in covered seating, but if you’re under the canopy, your cooler needs to be small enough to fit under your seat. Don’t forget utensils, napkins, or anything you might need to enjoy your meal comfortably. And please remember to clean up after yourself so the Hill stays beautiful for everyone.
