This cultural celebration of Chicano music, from Tejano and Conjunto, to Mariachi and Orchestra is one of the oldest ongoing cultural free events of its type. The festival is a celebration of culture through the musical expression of countless generations of artists with a truly unique, original American sound.
The October 2 performance will feature two incredible bands: Ricky Naranjo y Los Gamblers and Mike Gonzalez and The Iconiczz.
Headlining our Festival Chicano opening night is an incredible Conjunto band continuing a decades long family tradition – Ricky Naranjo y Los Gamblers. Son of the famous Ruben Naranjo, Ricky is following in his father’s footsteps having now over 13 albums jam-packed with accordion and conjunto hits that will have you dancing in your seats!
Opening tonight’s performance will be Mike Gonzalez and the Iconiczz, fronted by the son of legendary Tejano artist and six-time Latin Grammy-winning Jimmy Gonzalez. Himself a Latin Grammy-winner, Mike Gonzalez strives to make his own mark on Tejano music blending timeless traditions with a fresh, modern sound.
Come celebrate 46 years of this iconic festival at Miller!
